Surfing in Italy
Here are some videos of surfing in Italy from around the web.
“Surfing quality waves in Italy is not easy. You have to be always ready to chase the best deal. Don’t think, eat fast and rush into the sea! Those waves could end anytime.”
Eat & Go!, the Vans Italy surf trip motto, followed the team from Liguria to Tuscany chasing a summer swell. The guys were called last minute and had to travel kilometers to get together for two days pursuing fun and the best surfing.
A quick breakfast, check the spots, start a session. A sandwich, then another session. A fast dinner, everybody goes to sleep to wake up early and be ready by the dawn. Filippo Orso, Mattia Morri, and Angelo Bonomelli found the best conditions at Levanto during the first day of shooting, with powerful and barreling waves. The day after, the troops moved southbound, on the Lillatro white beaches, where longboarder Alessandro Ponzanelli joined the group. Smaller but excellent waves for a perfect fun session.
Now excuse us but we have to jump into the sea, another swell is coming!

We leave the cold water waves of Scotland for a spontaneous Mediterranean surf trip to Sardinia. The second Pin was dropped by Dutch legend Yannick de Jager. His Protest team buddy Lorenzo told Yannick about a storm that was about to hit his home swell.
ONDE NOSTRE in collaboation with SEEA presents an unforgettable trip to Italy, as California Seeababes Mele Saili and Jenayl Peters experience surfing in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, and exploring the culture of Sicily and Tuscany for the first time. Starting in Florence, we plunged into a more than 20-hour journey by ferry and automobile to Sicily in southern Italy with Seeababes Mele Saili and Janayl Peters from California.
We were searching for waves, and we want them to experience authentic Italian culture, so we travelled to Sicily. It was a lot of science, instinct and experience to find the right spot for the fickle windswell. We got in a few fun days and in between sessions the scenery never disappointed. We wandered the cobblestone streets in Sicily on foot and slowed down driving through the Viale dei Cipressi in Tuscany. Enjoy!
